(DRG with KWAT, Watertown)- It’s official. Air service from Watertown to Chicago will begin this fall.
SkyWest Airlines released a statement yesterday (Tues.) saying they have received approval from the US Department of Transportation to add new flights from Watertown to O’Hare Airport.
SkyWest, doing business as United Express, began serving the Pierre and Watertown airports April 3 with service to Denver.
The new agreement would eliminate one daily flight between Watertown and Denver in exchange for adding a non-stop midday flight to and from Chicago. The change unties Pierre and Watertown from each other, giving Pierre access to all of the seats on two daily non-stop flights to and from Denver.
Watertown officials anticipate the new service to begin on September 1.
