PIERRE, SD – Willa Hieb, 92, of Pierre, died Wednesday, December 12 at Brookstone Village in Omaha, NE. Services will be 11:00am, Thursday, December 20 at First United Methodist Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery

Willa was born October 1, 1926 in Seneca, SD to William and Mary (Johnson) Nafus. She grew up in Highmore and Holabird where she attended school, graduating from Harrold High School.
She was united in marriage to Herman Hieb on June 16, 1946. Willa worked for the County Agents Office in Highmore for a couple of years before moving to Pierre where she worked at the State Treasurer’s Office for 27 years. She was a Girl Scout Leader, member of the United Methodist Women’s group and on the Hospital Auxillary. She enjoyed crocheting, volunteering, baking and Bible study.
Willa is survived by her children: Janet and Neil Herman of Omaha, NE, Laurel and Monte McNickle of Bath, SD, Michael and Lois Hieb of Huron, SD, Debra and Craig Wilson of Oak Ridge, NC and Todd and Martha Hieb of Pierre, SD; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister Minerva Jacobs of Miller, SD and sisters-in-law: Dolly Nafus of Pierre, SD, Ruth Winters of Volga, SD and Aleta Hieb of Trenton, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and siblings: Merideth, Gale, Norma, Bonnie and John.
