Supt. Dr. Kelly Glodt says quite a few years have passed since administrators made the decision to hold school on Veteran’s Day. He says this has been a positive change for a variety of reasons– the biggest being the students have learned a great deal about the importance of Veteran’s Day and honoring those who have served our country.
Glodt says it takes a great deal of effort by staff and students to prepare to honor our Veterans and it’s worth every minute. He says all of the Veteran’s Day events throughout the Pierre School District are all open to the public.
