The SD Discovery Center in Pierre remains open normal hours, but the all star programs are canceled until further notice.
Executive director Rhea Waldman says they are actively monitoring developments related to the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) and are following the guidelines from the CDC and South Dakota Department of Health.
Waldman says in situations like this, accurate information is crucial, so the SD Discovery Center will add a new mini exhibit next week where you can learn what a virus is, how it spreads, what is special about COVID-19 and why it is important for scientists in different countries to share information.
