Rosebud Man Sentenced for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender

PIERRE, SD- A federal judge has sentenced a 33-year-old Rosebud, South Dakota, man convicted of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender to 18 months in custody.

Anthony Edward Farmer pled guilty in September.

The charge stems from Farmer failing to register as a sex offender as required by federal law between May 22, 2017, and June 16, 2017. Farmer had previously been convicted of a sex offense in federal court, which requires him to register for the rest of his life.

Farmer was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
