Pierre under a water restriction today for emergency sewer line repair at Griffin Park sinkhole

By Diane Deis Jul 18, 2019 | 7:33 AM

People in Pierre are being asked to conserve water today (Thurs.) so city crews can repair a broken sewer line.

Utilities director Brad Palmer says the rain overnight accelerated the need to fix the sinkhole in Griffin Park.

As a precautionary measure, because of the sewer line collapse, the swim beach and beach house at Griffin Park are closed until sewer line repairs are complete.

Again, people in Pierre are being asked to conserve water today while city crews do an emergency sewer line repair.
