PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Lady Governor and Governor soccer teams return to action Saturday when they travel to Aberdeen to face the Golden Eagle. The Lady Governors are off to a 2-0 start having outscored their first two opponents 3-0 but Head Coach Sydney Zanin says playing on the artificial surface in Aberdeen will make the game faster.*
Coach Zanin says his girls will have to adjust and respond against a good opponent.*
The Governors have been outscored 8-0 in their first two contest, both losses and head coach Sean Blanchette says the two losses were very different types of losses.*
Coach Blanchette knows that it won’t be easy against an Aberdeen team that has gone to the state championship game in each of the last 4 years.*
And he says the artificial surface is something the Governors will have to adjust to as well.*
The boys game will be at 1 pm and the girls game at 3 pm Saturday afternoon in Aberdeen.
