Pierre Fire-Rescue rescues calf, stranded boat; Also called to Sunday evening cooking fire

The Pierre Volunteer Fire Department and its Rescue Squad each took calls over the weekend.

Chief Ian Paul says one rescue call was for help on the Bad River.

He says yesterday’s (Sun.) rescue call was to for a stranded boat.

Paul says the fire call yesterday around 8:30pm was to an apartment building.
