The Pierre City Commission has approved updates to the employee safety manual and increased the meal rates for travel.
City human resources director Laurie Gronlund says the revised safety manual is a condensed, concise version of the previous one.
Gronlund says the travel meal reimbursement rates are being revised to match what state rates will be starting next month.
Both updates were unanimously approved.
