The South Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of three teenagers involved in a one-vehicle crash early Tuesday (Nov. 19) morning four miles north of Kennebec.
The driver, 18-year-old Damion Young from Spearfish, and passenger 17-year-old Antonio Gunhammer from Sioux Falls, were pronounced dead at the scene. The other passenger, 18-year-old Angel Stands from Sioux Falls, suffered serious non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to the Chamberlain hospital and later flown to a Sioux Falls hospital. All three occupants were thrown from the vehicle.
Information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol says the teens were in a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup northbound on state Highway 273 around 4:30am when it went off the roadway, into the ditch and rolled.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
