HURON, S.D. – The Pierre Lady Governor volleyball team dropped a 4 game match to the Huron Tigers on Tuesday night in Huron. Huron won by scores of 27-25, 25-8, 12, 25 and 25-11 as the Lady Govs continue to struggle with consistency. The Lady Govs rallied from a 24-20 deficit in the first game to tie the game at 24 before Huron scored 3 of the next 4 points. Pierre was confused and out of sync in the second game but came back in the third and was in total control. But the 4th game proved to be out of synce again as the Lady Govs record fell to 6 and 11 on the season with 5 matches remaining in the season. Hollie Niehess led Huron with 14 kills on the night. The Lady Govs were balanced but had no one with more than 6 kills on offense. The Lady Govs travel to Yankton for their next match Friday.
