Heinert submits bill to add native dialects as official languages of SD

Senate Minority Leader Troy Heinert (D-Dist 26, Mission) meets with a group of students from St. Joseph Indian School in Chamberlain. Moments before the meeting, Sen. Heinert submitted a bill to add Lakota, Nakota, and other native dialects as an official language of the State of South Dakota. Heinert welcomed the students to the Capitol using the native language.
