Four Corners Season Ends



MITCHELL, S.D. – The Four Corners Amateur Baseball team saw their season come to an end as they were defeated 6-3 by the Madison Bronco’s in a second round game of the State Class B Amateur Baseball tournament in Mitchell on Wednesday.  Danny Flahie’s triple in the 8th inning drove in 3 runs for Madison who advances to the quarterfinal round of the State Class B tournament tomorrow (Friday) night against defending state champion Alexandria.  Nathan Hainy and Jeremy Hand each had two hits in the game as Four Corners tallied 6 in the contest.  Four Corners scored 3 runs in the 6th inning thanks to a bases clearing doulbe by Hainy.  Hand took the loss for Four Corners on the mound as he allowed two runs while not allowing a hit in a third of an inning of relief.  Adam Kaus started and went 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs on 6 hits and striking out 4.  Four Corners ended their season but still were the winners of the Pony Hills District regular season title for the first time.
