South Dakota’s Governor says it looks like the state will end fiscal year 2017-18 in good shape.
Dennis Daugaard, on the KGFX/Dakota Radio Group’s South Dakota Perspective program this week, said he encouraged state agencies to budget conservatively.
He says preliminary numbers for June show state revenues looking as expected.
Daugaard says the state will know year-end totals within a week.
He says state agencies are working to set their budgets for the 2019-20 fiscal year.
State budgets for the 2018-19 fiscal year were set earlier this year.
