Belle Fourche Woman Arrested for Robbing Spearfish Bank


SPEARFISH, S.D. – Authorities in Spearfish have arrested a suspect in connection with the robbery of a bank Thursday afternoon.

In a press release, police say  22-year-old Kaycee Jade Teppo of Belle Fourche was arrested on charges  of 1st Degree Robbery and Grand Theft. Through the investigation of this case, it was determined that Teppo acted alone in the incident and left Pioneer Bank and Trust with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police say she entered the the bank at approximately 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning, and handed a teller a demand note. She then left the bank. No weapons were observed during the  robbery, and the woman was captured on surveillance video.

During the course of the investigation significant evidence was recovered along with a portion of the cash taken.
