BURNSVILLE, Minn. – For the 11th consecutive season the Concordia University, St. Paul Golden Bears have been picked by the league coaches in the NSIC Preseason Volleyball Poll. After winning the past seven NCAA National Championships, the Golden Bears received all 15 first place votes (coaches cannot vote for their own team). Minnesota Duluth finished in second in the coaches poll and received the other first place vote. Southwest Minnesota State came in third followed by Northern State. The Wolves will boast NSIC Preseason Player of the Year in Kelsey Chambers. Chambers was selected by the league coaches as the NSIC Preseason Player of the Year after being named an AVCA All-American in 2013. Chambers, who earned third team honors, is the first Northern State volleyball player to earn the honor in program history. Augustana is picked to finish 6th and the University of Sioux Falls is 7th in the pre season poll.
