Jacks Go 3 and 1 in Brazil

RIO DE JANIERO – The South Dakota State men’s basketball team closed out its Brookings to Brazil Tour on Sunday with a dominating 114-63 win over Botafogo, a team from the Brazilian A1 League, the top league in the country.  Four freshmen scored in double figures in the win, led by Skyler Flatten, who led all players with 16 points. Pierre native Lane Severyn scored 14 points, with Ian Theisen adding 12 and Deondre Parks and Mike Daum 11 each. Cody Larson and Jake Bittle both added nine points in the win. A total of 14 different Jackrabbits cracked the unofficial scorebook.  The Brookings to Brazil games in the books, the Jackrabbits begin their long journey from Brazil to Brookings on Monday, and should arrive in Brookings sometime on Tuesday afternoon.
