Four Corners Plays for Spot in State B Amatuer Baseball Tournament Tonight

CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. – The District 3B Amateur baseball tournament moves into it’s elimination round tonight in Pierre at Hyde Stadium.  Games played Saturday at the Four Corners Field west of Hayes, Miller defeated Armour 17-2.   Four Corners knocked off Kimball-White Lake 18-8 and Wessington Springs edged Plankinton 8-7.  Yesterday Kimball-White Lake was a 20-8 winner over Armour and Miller knocked off Four Corners 11-2. The first elimination game of the tournament will be tonight at 8 pm at Hyde Stadium in Pierre where Chamberlain will face Four Corners.  The winner will advance to the State Class B Amateur Baseball Tournament.  Tomorrow night at 8 pm in Pierre at Hyde Stadium it will be Plankinton facing Kimball White Lake in another elimination game with the winner advancing to the State tournament.  The championship of the tournament will be Thursday night in Pierre at Hyde Stadium at 8 pm when Miller faces Wessington Springs.  Both teams are unbeaten in the District tournament and have already qualified for the State Class B Amateur baseball tournament that begins next week in Mitchell.
