State B Legion Baseball Tournament Begins Today in Tabor

TABOR, S.D. – The South Dakota Class B State American Legion Baseball tournament begins today in Tabor for the first time in 30 years.  Tabor last hosted a State Class B State tournament in 1984.   Region 5B champion Miner-MCook opens up the tournament against Region 1B champion Castlewood-Clear Lake at 10 am followed by  followed by Piedmont Post 311, the Region 7B champion faces Region 6B champion Groton at approximatly 12:30 pm.  The night bracket has Region 2B champion Madison facing Region 4B champion Parkston at 5 pm. in the first round then the host team Tabor will take on Region 3B champion Dakota Valley in the first day’s final game at approximatly 7:30 pm.  The double elimination tournament will continue with the championship game or games being played on Tuesday.
