PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) A state certified instructor will present material necessary for youth ages 12-15 to receive the HuntSAFE certificate to hunt as part of a seminar starting today and running through Sunday. The class will also include instruction on land management, sporting tips, bow and arrow information and students will get the chance to shoot rifles, shotguns, pistols and boy & arrow in a controlled environment. The free class begins tonight at 6:30 p.m. and concludes at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday with the necessary exam to receive the HuntSAFE card. Meals and lodging are provided and donations are appreciated. The class will be held at the Ken and Liz Korkow Ranch east of Pierre. Many of the instructors are Christians and will share how their faith relates to hunting and firearm activities.
