PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) The Hughes/Stanley County Emergency Manager says siren testing that was planned for today has been delayed.  Plans now call for sirens to be tested tomorrow (Thursday-7/17).  The testing hinges on the completion of work on a new dispatch system.  The City of Pierre and South Dakota Department of Public Safety are consolidating emergency and law enforcement dispatch services into a single operation.  The consolidation moves the city’s dispatch services to the State Radio facilities in the Mickelson Law Enforcement Center.
