PIERRE, S.D. – Redfield scored 3 runs in the 10th inning to record an extra inning 7-4 win over the Pierre Rattlers in amateur baseball Sunday in Pierre. Pierre took a 3-2 lead after 5 innings and were up 4-3 until Redfield tied the game in the 7th inning. Willie Welch pitched himself out of a bases loaded 1 out situation in the 9th inning with no runs scored by was touched by 3 Redfield hits in the 10th to take his first loss of the season. Allen Goodman started and went the first 5 innings before being releived by Justin Siemonsma who went 3 innings. Nick Rezac tripled and scored two runs as he had 3 hits to lead the Rattlers. Redfield outhit the Rattlers 12-9 in the game as they improved to 6 and 2 on the season. The Rattlers fell to 3 and 2 as they lost their home opener. Next up for the Rattlers is a triangular with the Rapid City Angels and Sioux Falls Saints Saturday at Hyde Stadium.
