Thursday Crash in Walworth County Kills Watertown Man

PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) A Watertown man was killed in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday near Mobridge.  The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened about a mile west of Mobridge on U.S. Highway 12 yesterday afternoon.  62-year-old Stanley Elwood Cadotte was westbound on the highway in a 1996 GEO Metro when his vehicle crossed the centerline and hit a 2012 Toyota Sienna driven by 60-year-old Shirley Ann Schweitzer of Timber Lake.  Cadotte died from crash related injuries after being transferred to a Bismarck, North Dakota hospital.  Schweitzer and her passenger, 60-year-old Dorothy Senger of Glencross, received minor injuries.  All three people involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts.
