PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) The South Dakota National Guard is helping with a special food drive which is being set up to benefit those on South Dakota’s Native American reservations.  Anyone wanting to donate items can bring non-perishable food items to any Army National Guard armory or to the Air National Guard base in Sioux Falls through June 5.  Food will be delivered to the various reservations during the SDNG’s Golden Coyote training exercise June 7-21.  Major General Timothy Reisch, adjutant general of the SDNG says in a news release that the partnership will benefit both tribal nations and the National Guard in meaningful ways.   Locations accepting food donations include Guard armories in Chamberlain (605-734-5441), Mobridge (605-845-2301), and Pierre (605-773-3449).
