PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Spring High School Baseball team will play Sturgis in one game tonight at Hyde Stadium that will determine who will host Saturday’s Region 3A tournament.  Pierre and Sturgis are tied for the region lead after Pierre defeated Sturgis 3-1 in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader on Sunday.  The second game saw Sturgis leading 4-0 in the third inning when rains came and washed out the second game.  Brad Schramm, President of the South Dakota High School Baseball Association, says that the game will be replayed in it’s entirety and will begin in the first inning instead of being resumed in the third inning.  4 innings constutes a complete game.  So that game will be played Tuesday Nigh at Hyde Stadium and is scheduled for a 7:15 pm start time.
