VEVA Members Gathering Saturday for Memorial Cleanup

Wade Hubbard May 8, 2014

PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) – Saturday brings work by the local Vietnam Era Veterans Association around the grounds of the Capitol as the group plans to clean the war memorials along Capitol Lake, the firefighter and EMT memorials and also the Purple Heart Memorial at the Soldiers and Sailors building.  VEVA’s Wade Hubbard visited KGFX this morning and talked with Scott Lane about Saturday’s activities.  Listen to that interview on the audio bar below.  All Vietnam or Vietnam Era vets are welcome and can call 280-4966 to confirm the number of workers and to make sure that there is enough food for a planned lunch for vets and their families. (Note that plans have changed as of 5/8 for the 5/10 wreath laying.  It will now be held at 1:00 p.m.)
