MOBRIDGE, S.D. — (DRG News) When was the last time you visited your local library? With the newer part of the library, it is so comfortable to relax and read a good book.
April 13 through the 19 is National Library Week. The A.H. Brown Library in Mobridge celebrated with a week of activities for the public.
On Wednesday patrons of the library had an opportunity to visit with Authors Twyla Fritz and Deborah Griewski. Twyla is the author of Mr. Wood Goes to Heaven, The Aid of Angels, In The Midst of Angels, and Auna’s Angels. Deb is the author of Bebop’s Hungry Adventure. All of these books are available at the library.
The authors discussed topics ranging from story ideas to what it takes to be published. They told of the various options for being published without having to invest large sums of money.
The A.H Brown library has many books and periodicals on hand, and they can also resource books from their network of libraries. Audio books, magazines and newspapers are available as well. Computers are there for use by the public. An area is designated as the children’s library and many activities are held throughout the year to encourage children to read.
