PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) The South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs has designated 2014 as the year to reach out to all 75,000 veterans in South Dakota. ”Operation RAV” is the name of the campaign to identify and make direct contact with all veterans in the state and make them aware of benefits and services available to them. The SDDVA is holding open houses across the state this year for veterans and Tuesday brings one to Fort Pierre. Vets and their families are invited to visit the Community and Youth Involved Center from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 15 to speak with Veterans Affairs officials about benefits and have their questions answered.
