FORT WAYNE, Ind. — South Dakota State picked up a pair of Summit League wins Saturday as it defeated South Dakota 4-3 and Omaha 5-2. In Saturday’s opener, the Jacks and ‘Yotes split singles, 3-3, but a Jackrabbit sweep in doubles solidified the win for SDSU. Iasmin Rosa, Beatriz Souza and Tacy Haws-Lay all picked up wins in singles. In doubles, Florencia Magni/Jenny Blackburne won 8-4, while Rosa/Souza and Haws-Lay/Ffion Davies both won 8-3. In Saturday’s finale, Rosa, Davies, Souza and Haws-Lay won their respective single’s match. Rosa/Souza and Haws-Lay/Davies also won their second double’s match of the day to give SDSU the point.
