MITCHELL, S.D. – IUPUI used a nine run second inning in the opener and an eight run inning in the first inning of the nightcap to cruise to a 14-4 and a 15-3 win over South Dakota State on Saturday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell, S.D. Both teams went down in order in the first inning of Game 1, but the Jaguars plated nine runs on seven hits in the second to take a commanding 9-0 lead in the opener. The Jags kept it rolling in the second game scoring 8 runs on 5 hits and one SDSU error to stake themselves to an 8-0 lead. Jennifer Sutton took the loss in the circle in Game 1, with Ashlyn Bender falling in Game 2. The losses drop the Jackrabbits to 7-20 on the season overall and to 2-6 in The Summit League, while the Jaguars end the day 14-15 overall and 3-4 in league play.
