PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) Jay Smith, Director of the Museum of the South Dakota State Historical Society, visited KGFX this morning to talk about a special event coming up in May. Richard Kurin, the Smithsonian Institution’s Under Secretary for History, Art and Culture, will be at the Capitol Lake Visitors Center in Pierre on May 5. Kurin will give a presentation on his latest work, “The Smithsonian’s History of America in 101 Objects” and he will be available to sign copies of his book.
