NEW YORK – Former Pierre Governor basketball standout and reigning South Dakota Mr. Basketball Zach Hanson played for the Crieghton Bluejays in Friday night’s 86-78 Big East Tournament semi final win over Xavier in New York’s Madison Square Garden. Hanson saw 4 minutes of action in the game but contributed to the victory by scoring 6 points on going 3 for 3 from the field. He did not commit a personal foul or pull down a rebound and he did not turnover the basketball in the Bluejay win. Doug McDermott again led Creighton scoring 32 points as the Bluejays will play for the Big East Tournament championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament tonight. The Bluejays play Providence, a team they split with in games over the course of the regular season. The game is scheduled to tip off at 8:32 pm central time.
