PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Lady Governor basketball team rallied for a 56-51 win over Harrisburg in an ESD Conference girls basketball game Saturday night in Pierre. The Lady Govs pulled away in the closing minutes of the game. Sydney Palmer led Pierre with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Palmer was the only double figure scorer on the night for Pierre. McKenna Halvorson was next in line with 8 points for the Lady Govs who improved to 10-7 on the season and secured the second seed in the upcoming District 3AA basketball tournament. Alex Johnson scored 18 to lead Harrisburg while Hailey Halllinig was next with 13. The Lady Govs are in action Tuesday night when they travel to Rapid City for a matchup with Rapid City Stevens.
