To this union five children were born. They became members of the Highmore United Methodist Church in April of 1943 then transferring to the Harrold United Methodist Church in 1947.

Her enjoyment was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, doing 1000 or more piece puzzles and crossword puzzles, taking care of her plants, visiting with friends and neighbors, and cooking for unexpected guests.
