GETTYSBURG, S.D. – (DRG News) South Dakota’s agricultural industry stepped up and took action to assist with the FFA Foundation’s “I Believe in the Future of Agriculture” campaign. Elevators across the state worked with the SD FFA Foundation to launch the fundraiser last fall and $11,056 was donated for FFA programs. South Dakota FFA Foundation Board President Sandy Osterday says the campaign allows for a unique way to support local FFA chapters and FFA across the state. South Dakota’s FFA Foundation has billed the effort as a way to build future agriculture employees, farmers, ranchers and leaders by ensuring funding for FFA programs. Osterday says money raised through last year’s “I Believe in the Future of Agriculture” campaign is to be split evenly between the 25 local chapters designated by donors and the South Dakota FFA Foundation. Donations can still be made securely online at the FFA Foundation’s website at http://www.sdffafoundation.org
