MURFREESBORO, TN – Middle Tennessee State (9-3) used a 16-4 run midway through the second half to snap South Dakota State women’s basketball’s (9-5) five-game winning streak with a 59-44 win Saturday in front of 3,035 fans at the Murphy Center. The Jackrabbits were led by senior Steph Paluch. The Pierre native scored 10 points. Junior Mariah Clarin had a team-high seven rebounds as the Jacks scored the lowest game total of the season. Middle Tennessee State was led by Ebony Rose with game-high of 29 points and added 13 rebounds. Olivia Jones also collected 14 rebounds. South Dakota State scored a season-low 44 points and had a season-high 27 turnovers. It also shot 34 percent from the field, 25 percent from beyond the three-point arch and 63.6 percent from the free-throw line.
