Lady Capitals Lose 1 Goal Verdict to Sioux Falls

 SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Pierre-Ft. Pierre Lady Capitals varsity hockey team dropped a 6-5 verdict to Sioux Falls Saturday in South Dakota high school league play. Sioux Falls outscored Pierre-Ft. Pierre 2-1 in the first period and made that one goal margin stand up as both teams neeted 3 gaols sin the second and 1 in the third. The Lady Caps tied the game in the third period on a goal by Grace Nedved but a power play goal at 10:35 of the period by Sioux Falls Hanna Mutschelknaus put Sioux Falls back in the lead for good. Traci Corcoran scored twice for the Lady Capitals while Destiny Barry Gabby Vizcarra also found the net for Pierre-Ft. Pierre. Sioux Falls outshot the Lady Capitals in the game 42-36 with Lady Capital goaltender Madison Bogue making 36 saves in the contest. With the setback, the Lady Capitals fell to 0 and 4 on the season.
