PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) A man wanted by Wyoming authorities for questioning was taken into custody in South Dakota yesterday. The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says a South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper spotted a vehicle near Rapid City about 9:45 a.m. being driven by a man who authorities wanted to question about a homicide in Wyoming. The subject fled and troopers chased the vehicle east on Interstate 90. The DPS says the pursuit reached speeds near 120 mph at times. Authorities were able to successfully deploy tire-deflation spikes west of Chamberlain in Lyman County. The man was taken into custody and was taken to the Brule County Jail. Wyoming authorities requested that the man’s name be withheld and no further information is being released on the incident. The Jones and Lyman County Sheriff’s Offices assisted with the pursuit and apprehension of the man yesterday.
