HURON, S.D. (AP) – Crews have started demolishing a building that housed 4-H exhibits and competitions at the South Dakota State Fair since the 1950s.
The state Agriculture Department says Clover Hall started coming down last week.
A campaign for a new building to replace it is taking donations over three years. The state says $1.5 million toward the $4 million goal has been raised.
The new hall will feature multiple classrooms, a large kitchen for 4-H special foods competitions, year-round concessions and a performance stage.
