The Friends of Scherr Howe in cooperation with local playwright Louise Bormann are performing, On the Missouri: November 1862, a play commemorating the “Fool Soldiers” who risked their lives to save seven captives during the Dakota War of 1862 near present day Mobridge.
The play will be performed just once, on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m. The play is free to the public and the MPHS Culinary Class and Pfitzer Traeger Grills will be offering a meal beforehand at 6:30 p.m. at the Scherr Howe Event Center. Freewill donations are greatly appreciated and will go towards restoring the murals and other renovation projects in the historic building. Please call Haden at 845-2387 for more information.
