BROOKINGS, S.D. – Five Jackrabbits scored in double figures and two posted double-doubles as South Dakota State cruised to an 83-62 win over Southwest Minnesota State for its first win of the season in front of 2,521 fans at Frost Arena. Along with the offensive explosion, the Jackrabbits finished with a 48-37 edge on the glass in improving to 1-3 on the season. The Mustangs, who fall to 1-2, finished the game 24 for 72 from the field, 33 percent, and went just 3 for 18 from 3-point range, 16.7 percent. The Jackrabbits shot a season-high 52.5 percent from the floor, 31 of 59, and went 7 of 22 from long range, 31.8 percent. Jordan Dykstra led the Jacks on both fronts, scoring a game-high 21 points and grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Cody Larson also posted a double-double, the first of his career, finishing with career-highs with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Brayden Carlson scored 16 points, Chad White 13 and Anders Broman a career-high 10 points off the bench.
