BROOKINGS, S.D. – Senior Steph Paluch was named The Summit League Player of the Week Monday, after helping South Dakota State to a 2-1 record this past week. For the week, the Pierre native guard averaged 16 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. She shot 66.7 percent from the field, 70 percent from three-point range and 71.4 percent from the free-throw line. In a 68-63 loss at Creighton Nov. 12, Paluch led the team in scoring with a season-best 17 points. She was 8 of 9 from the field, including a perfect 5 for 5 in the first half. Paluch scored 15 second-half points in the 86-80 win over Georgetown Nov. 15, and in the victory over Northern Iowa Nov. 17, she led the Jackrabbits with 16 points, including a career-tying four three-pointers. For the season, Paluch leads South Dakota State in scoring (13.8) and is second in assists (2.8). She is shooting 57.1 percent from the field, 53.8 percent from three-point range and 80 percent from the foul line.
