RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) – Snow has been reported in parts of western South Dakota today.
The National Weather Service says 1-2 inches of snow is expected in the region by Monday evening. The Rapid City Journal reports that the snow made Interstate 90 off ramps slick, and that some vehicles were in the ditch.
Light snow also also fell in the Pierre area of central South Dakota and in the Yankton area in the southeast. For road report information, visit www.safetravelusa.com or call 5-1-1.
The snow won’t stick around for long – the weather service says high temperatures Tuesday should in the 30s east to the 50s in the southwest.
