Timber Lake High School Student Council is asking for Shoes


The Timber Lake High School Student Council is asking for Shoes, Shoes and more Shoes. They are participating in a Shoebox Recycling Fundraising Campaign. The Student Council has distributed empty boxes throughout the school and would like you to clean out your closets and bring the shoes to the school you no longer wear. If you can’t find the boxes just drop the shoes off at the library. These shoes will be put to good use through-out the world.

*Each Year over 200 Million shoes are landfilled.

it takes over 200 years before a sneaker even starts to break down in a landfill.

*Used shoes are in great demand in developing countries.

*Recycled shoes create jobs and fuel local economies both here and abroad.
