VERMILLION, S.D.—University of South Dakota sophomore quarterback Kevin Earl and freshman wide receiver Riley Donovan have earned Missouri Valley Football Conference Player of the Week honors for the period ended Oct. 21. Earl was named Offensive Player of the Week. Donovan was named Newcomer of the Week. Earl passed for a career-high 370 yards and accounted for five touchdowns (3 pass, 2 rush) in leading the Coyotes to a 38-31, double-overtime win against No. 13 Northern Iowa at the UNI-Dome Saturday. His 370 yards passing are the most by a USD quarterback in four seasons. Donovan, a walk-on freshman who had his redshirt lifted four games ago, finished with nine catches for a season-high 178 yards.
