PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – A Presho man has been sentenced to the maximum of 25 years in state prison for kidnapping his 10-year-old daughter in August 2012 and abusing her.
Attorney General Marty Jackley says 36-year-old Clint James Brown was sentenced Friday for aggravated assault-domestic abuse and being a habitual offender.
Brown was sentenced in federal court in June to four years and three months in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of being felon and drug user in possession of a firearm.
Prosecutors say he was previously convicted of three felony offenses from Lyman and Pennington counties and was under the influence of meth and had guns with him when he kidnapped the girl.
