Pierre PD Investigating Two Recent Business Burglaries

PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) The Pierre Police Department is investigating two burglaries that occured at local businesses over the past few days.  Pierre Police Captain Elton Blemaster says on Sunday night about 11:15 p.m., officers were told of a burglary at Hardee’s at 305 West Sioux Avenue.  Blemaster says entrance to the building was gained through the drive through window.  An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the cash register.

Early Wednesday morning at 5:10 a.m., police received a report that an alarm had been triggered at Happy Jack’s, located at 124 East Missouri Avenue.  Entrance was gained through a broken out back window and a cash box was taken.

Both cases are being investigated by the police department and Blemaster says it’s unknown whether both the cases are related to each other.
