Rain Amounts Vary in Central and Western SD Locations



UNDATED – (DRG News) Several different rain amounts were called into KGFX this morning, as the early part of this work week brings more precipitation to parts of the state.  The National Weather Service says the Pierre Regional Airport received 1.00” of rain within the past 24 hours-through 7:00 a.m. this morning.  Other central and western South Dakota rain amounts from the Weather Service include Winner with .57, Mobridge with 1.71”, Chamberlain with .82, Faith receiving .63 and Philip with 1.03”.   KGFX listeners report:

-Anchor’s Point and Marion’s Gardens in Fort Pierre received .97 this morning which makes 1.60” over the past few days.

-1.56” in the past 24 hours-26 miles west of Fort Pierre

-1.40” measured this morning plus .78 from Monday-10 miles west of Fort Pierre

-2.19” since Sunday a mile north of Agar

-2.30” on Tree Farm Road above Oahe Dam
