HARTFORD, S.D. – Dell Rapids edged Parkston by 1 stroke to capture the Class A team championship of the State Class A boys golf tournament that wrapped up yesterday in Hartford. Dell Rapids had a 662 team score to Parkstons 663. Parkston shot a team low 332 yesterday to make up a 7 stroke deficit entering day 2 of the tournament. Aberdeen Roncalli was third with a 670 two day score, 1 stroke ahead of 4th place Madison. Mobridge-Pollock fired a second day 368 to finish with a 725 and a 10th place finish. Micheal Duch of Aberdeen Roncalli was the individual medalist on the tournament as he fired a second round 76 for a two day total 148 and 3 shot victory over Adam Karst of Dell Rapids. Jake Weber of Parkston finished third, with a two round total 155. Mitch Huemiller fired a two round total 169 and finished tied for 16th. Eric Looyenga had a two day score 181. Tyler Villebrandt had a 184 and Carson Keller had a 176. Adam Hutmacher of Chamberlain had a two round total 191 and tied for 66th.
