BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) – Officials at South Dakota State University announced lead gifts totaling $12.5 million to be put towards the construction of a new football stadium for the Jackrabbits. The lead gifts are from Sioux Falls banker Dana Dykhouse and philanthropist T. Denny Sanford. The announcement was made Saturday as a part of the 100th Hobo Day game at SDSU. The proposed stadium would have a capacity of 18,000 to 20,000 and replace the now 51-year old Coughlin-Alumni Stadium.
